Instrument Request

  • Step 1
    Current You & billing
Who you are, and who to bill
  • Step 2
    Your request
    Experiment, instruments, funding, location
  • Step 3
    Review & send
    Check everything before it goes

Before you start

Have these to hand. You can save and come back, but it goes faster in one sitting.

  • Your contact details and institution
  • A billing contact
  • Award number, if the project is funded
  • Which instruments, and how many
  • Ship-out and return dates
  • Approximate coordinates of your field area

Roughly 10–15 minutes, in three steps, ending with a chance to check everything before it is sent. We save your progress at each step so you can close the tab and come back, as long as you return in the same browser and do not clear your browsing data.

Request type

Everything below is the same either way. This just tells us how to read it.

Request type
An experiment you haven't sent us before
Update something already submitted
As you named it, or the experiment number if you have it.
Plain English is fine. For example: push both dates back three weeks, and add two more nodes to the second phase.
Your information

We need this because the form is no longer behind an EPIC login. Your email is how we match you to an existing account.

Street name and number.
Apartment, suite, unit, etc. Optional.
Billing contact

Who should receive invoices for this experiment. We ask every time, because our finance team needs it on the record even when it's the same as your own details.

We will use the contact details you entered above as the billing contact. Untick the box to bill someone else.
