EarthScope Consortium manages mailing lists (via Google Groups) to communicate with the NSF NGF community and facilitate information sharing.

Signing up

We suggest that you sign up for our mailing lists using your professionally affiliated/institutional email address rather than a personal email address.

You can sign up for our mailing lists without a Google account, but if you would like to manage preferences (such as daily digests) and more easily see your list memberships, you will want to have a login for Google Groups. (Note: You do not need to use a Gmail address to create a Google account for this purpose.)

General Announcements

This moderated list distributes both EarthScope announcements and community announcements. Messages for distribution should be sent to earthscope-general@earthscope.org. Your messages must be fully formatted with appropriate information and links to be approved for distribution — forwards or requests for reposting are not allowed. Once approved, your message will be distributed to subscribers.

Community Jobs List

This moderated list is used to advertise job opportunities in geophysics and related communities. We recommend post docs and other employment opportunities be sent to this list, while graduate student opportunities be sent to the General Announcements list, instead.

When submitting an opportunity, please email jobs@earthscope.org and:

• Put the job description in the text of the message—do not include PDF or other email attachments.
• Put the job title in the subject.
• Include a closing date for the position.
• Send your message exactly as it should appear to users—the text will not be edited, so if it starts with “Dear EarthScope, please post this job” that will appear in the final message.
