This active-source OBS experiment will take place at the Andreanoff segment of the Aleutian Arc. One strike line and two dip lines will be shot. The shooting ship is the R/V Marcus Langseth. The strike line runs just north of the Aleutians Islands. The two dip lines cross the arc and Aleutian Trench. Most OBS will carry a 3-component geophone (resonant frequency of 4.5 Hz) and a hydrophone. Because of the great water depths in the Trench, some stations deployed there will be moored above the seafloor and will carry a hydrophone only.
