- The Andean orogen is one of the most important structures in the geological context of Venezuela. Therefore, we propose this research project, which aims to generate a lithosphere scale model, and the development of a temporary dynamic model for the Merida Andes. In order to fulfill these objectives, we propose a set of primary tasks, which are composed by multidisciplinary activities executed by different research groups pertaining to the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS), University of Los Andes (ULA), Central University of Venezuela (UCV) and Venezuelan Petroleum State Company (PDVSA)
